Made of four major events that take place over the course of four months, the Dew Tour is THE action sports tour out there.
Making its debut in June 2005, the Dew Tour is the first ever action sports tour. Currently, its made up of four events, with the first stop of the 2011 Dew Tour making its debut on the beach in Ocean City, Maryland. The entire tour features skate park and vert
as well as BMX park, vert and dirt. For the first time ever in 2011, the tour will also feature skate bowl.
The Tour crowns champions in each of the five disciplines, giving away $2.5 million over the course of the year and awarding the Dew Cup at season’s end based on a cumulative points system.
At each Dew Tour event, there is also a live concert featuring top artists and a huge Festival Village with video gaming, BMX and skate interactive courses, giveaways, tons of new products to try out, athlete autograph signings… and the list goes on and on.
More than 150 of the top action sports athletes in the world will return for the sixth season of the Dew Tour to compete for the highly coveted Dew Cup. Last year’s 2010 Dew Cup champions include Jamie Bestwick (BMX vert), Daniel Dhers (BMX park), Brandon Dosch (BMX dirt), Pierre-Luc Gagnon (skate vert) and Chaz Ortiz (skate park).
